My first Yijing I got from a small second hand bookstore when I was 12 years old, and based on its content I started using it as a predictive tool. But when I found out about more thinkers and arts of Chinese history who used the Yijing my quest to understand the yijing began.
Now 50 years later I am free to share my knowledge and experience, after having studied with Yijing masters From China, Tibet and Japan. In my quest I studied Chinese and Daoist Medicine, Fengshui, Mingshu astrology, Taijigongfu, Neidan Alchemy and many other things to get a good comprehension. I became 15th generation Wudang Daoist in 1999, and got my PhD in comparative science in 2009.
I often get attacked online by Yijing officianados because I show sides of the Yijing most avoid or decline to see as valid because it doesn't share their view of the Yijing. The problem is not that their view is wrong, but it is incomplete. So my aim is to help generating a more deep understanding of the Yijing, hopefully deeper than where my comprehension did lead me. Only then the Yijing will be more than a gadget for prediction, like flipping a coin. It can be a start for a new life of developing yourself and of starting a new career as educator, or counsellor.
