Join the 3 day masterclass in Daoist Taiji Thunder Push Massage.
Where? Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
When: March 25, 26, 27 2025
You learn a style of Chinese massage that is used by Gongfu Masters to fix their disciples after a hard day of intense training in the mountains of Wudang. Only a few people are left who can practice this, and you can be one of them and bring it back to glory.
The method includes:
1: Preparation for massage, using principles of movement as similar in Taiji Gongfu
2: Hand management practices to prevent tear and wear for any massage method
3: The root principles and practices of the Zhenna Thunder push massage where you maximize effort and minimize work
4: Application in clinical practice
5: Grounding in Daoist theory for medicine and massage
People know Chinese Massages as Anmo and Tuina, but even in Tuina there are many different variations and styles. Zhenna is such a variation, using natural rhytms of the body to change its ability to relax and to strenghten. The massage is sort of a dance taking the client in your focus and working together with your client to achieve more than by manipulation alone.
Long careers in massage go together with proper physical and mental management. In the retreat we spend time on how massage can be a health extending practice through the minimalist masterskills of the Thunder Push practice and additional exercises to make life as a masseur easy.
Massage education often locks you in in a box of limitations, but this retreat wants to help you to escape that box and spread your wings into using massage as a form and aspect of self-cultivation and development, helping you to add new skills to your life.
Premodern Chinese medicine saw the therapist or healer as an extension of the community and also as a healer of that community, therefore we will also work on tools and mindset to develop your community and not just a customerbase.
The content of this workshop roots in my 40 years massage experience and through Tuina and Chinese medicine, Taiji Gongfu study, and learning with a variety of massage masters in different clinics in China while working in the field.
